POPA footwear brand launches in Japan
Spanish footwear brand POPA is launching its operations in the Japanese market. The brand, which originated in Elche, Spain, will debut its 2027 Spring/Summer collection at the international fashion exhibition TRANOÏ TOKYO on September 9 and 10, 2026.
POPA specializes in reinterpreting traditional Mediterranean styles, specifically the Menorca sandal, by adding modern platform soles and contemporary silhouettes. The brand's product range has expanded from wedges and sandals to include sneakers, ankle boots, and long boots. The 2027SS collection will feature materials such as natural raffia, leather, suede, and hand-braided elements, focusing on a balance of visual impact and daily comfort.
TOSTO Co., Ltd., a Japanese company specializing in footwear planning, manufacturing, and sales, will manage the brand's expansion in Japan. POPA currently operates in over 20 countries with more than 700 sales locations and maintains a significant digital presence, including approximately 325,000 followers on Instagram.
