Pope Francis urges Polish youth to discern vocation during Vatican audience

Pope Francis (Leon XIV) addressed thousands of pilgrims on the Wednesday general audience in St. Peter’s Square, directing a special message to Polish pilgrims, especially children and young people. He welcomed them warmly and encouraged them to use the summer holidays for rest, prayer, and to “discover God in the beauty of creation.” Francis urged them to attend Mass more often, meditate on the Word, join pilgrimages and spend time with family. He also asked that people pray for young Poles to make wise choices about schools and studies and to discern their vocation prudently.

The audience, held in extreme heat before the July break, featured Polish bishops including Krzysztof Zadarko, newly appointed bishop of the Koszalin‑Kołobrzeg diocese, and Stanisław Budzik, archbishop of Lublin. Thousands of faithful from around the world were present, and the Pope’s remarks highlighted the importance of truth, community and spiritual growth for the younger generation.
