Pope Francis urges love, faith and service in latest messages and visits

Pope Francis returned by helicopter after a pastoral trip to Pawia and Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, where he met children with cancer, visited the tomb of Saint Augustine and emphasized the need to reject hatred and promote love and solidarity.

In a video address to American youth, the pontiff called on young people to open themselves to God, consider vocations, and avoid seeking fulfillment through screens or material distractions.

He also highlighted the Church’s role in aiding refugees, recalling the World Refugee Day and urging Catholics to welcome those fleeing persecution, while reflecting on the Gospel’s call to apostolate and personal prayer.
