Pope John Paul II memorial painting displayed in Rome

A significant painting associated with Pope John Paul II has been moved from a display case to the chapel at the Polish House of John Paul II in Rome. The artwork, which holds deep spiritual meaning for many pilgrims, serves as a symbol of the Pope's devotion to Mary.

The history of the image dates back to May 1981, when a group of parishioners from Kościan, Poland, traveled to Rome on a pilgrimage. They brought three paintings, one of which was intended specifically for the Pope. The painting continues to draw emotional responses from visitors, particularly those who associate the Pope's papacy with the struggle for freedom in Poland.
