Pope Leo XIV and Don Giorgio deliver August 2, 2026 religious messages in Italy

On 2 August 2026 Pope Leo XIV addressed the faithful from St. Peter’s Square in a televised Angelus. The homily highlighted the Gospel of Matthew 14:13‑21, emphasizing Christ’s miracles of feeding the hungry and urging charity and solidarity.

On the same day, Don Giorgio De Capitani gave a homily titled “Decima dopo Pentecoste,” reflecting on the passage from Mark 12:41‑44. He spoke about humility, the value of small acts of generosity, and the moral responsibility of believers in a harsh society.

Both messages were delivered to Italian audiences and focused on themes of compassion, sharing, and spiritual nourishment.
