Pope Leo XIV continues cooperation with Aid to the Church in Need

Father Jan Żelazny, director of the Polish section of Aid to the Church in Need, discussed the ongoing cooperation with Pope Leo XIV. The relationship dates back to when the current Pope served as the Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru.

During his time in Peru, Robert Prevost focused on educational projects, requesting support for seminarian training and facilities for catechists. While the nature of the collaboration has evolved since his election to the papacy, the organization continues to align its activities with the Holy Father’s current priorities.

A key focus remains education. This year, the Aid to the Church in Need Foundation awarded scholarships to students from African countries studying in Poland, specifically at the Catholic University of Lublin, which the Polish section coordinates.
