Pope Leo XIV Holds Mass for Thousands in Las Palmas During Spain Visit
Pope Leo XIV celebrated a mass in a stadium in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, drawing thousands of faithful as the finale of a week‑long papal tour of Spain. The itinerary also included large public gatherings in Madrid and Barcelona, where the pope addressed issues such as migration, mental health, domestic violence and the dignity of human life.
During the visit the pontiff inaugurated the Tower of Jesus Christ at the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, visited refugees in the Canary Islands and met with young people, clergy and political leaders, emphasizing solidarity and spiritual renewal across the country.
