Pope Leo XIV urges Knights of Columbus to become ‘prophets of harmony’
Pope Leo XIV delivered a video message to the Knights of Columbus during their 144th Supreme Convention in Denver, Colorado (August 4‑6). He called on the fraternal organization to act as “prophets of harmony,” promoting the virtues of unity and charity. Referring to Jesus’ prayer for unity at the Last Supper, the Pope urged members to cultivate honest dialogue and to bear witness to concord in families, parishes, and wider communities. He highlighted the order’s charitable work for the unborn, victims of war and human trafficking, the poor and vulnerable, and cited its founder Blessed Michael McGivney as an example of lasting service.
The convention featured Masses, prayer services, an awards session, and the organization’s annual report, underscoring its ongoing commitment to charitable outreach and fraternal solidarity.
