Pope Leo XIV visits Lourdes as 13-year-old singer performs

During a recent visit to Lourdes, 13-year-old Eva Molenmaker performed before Pope Leo XIV and a crowd of approximately 150,000 people. Molenmaker, who portrays Saint Bernadette Soubirous in the musical ‘Bernadette de Lourdes’, sang the song ‘Quand tu t’en iras’.

The performance took place during the Pope's visit to the sanctuary, specifically during a meeting with hospital workers and the sick. The musical production, which features the young singer in the role of the shepherdess, provided a musical interlude during the religious events at the site of the apparitions.
