Popoli, Italy hosts 64th edition of Svolte di Popoli mountain race

The 64th Svolte di Popoli cronoscalata took place in Popoli Terme, Abruzzo, from 7‑9 August 2026. Organised by Rally Factor Driving School, the event served as a double‑valid round for the Italian Mountain Speed Championship, counting for both the northern and southern ACI Sport zones. A record 123 pilots registered, including the defending champion Stefano Di Fulvio, who returns in a Nova Proto NP 01 turbo, and a strong field of seasoned drivers such as Lorenzo Tizzi Corazzini and Omar Magliona. The weekend also featured a public presentation at the Auditorio Guizza and a range of supporting activities aimed at promoting the locality.

The competition attracted attention from the wider Abruzzo region, drawing participants and fans from Teramo, the coastal area and beyond, underscoring the race’s growing national profile within Italy’s motorsport calendar.
