Popovača signs contract with Kapitel to complete new kindergarten

The City of Popovača has signed a contract with the company Kapitel to complete the construction of a new kindergarten on Kolodvorska Street. The contract is valued at 8,037,995.36 euros and is expected to be completed within 12 months.

Mayor Josip Mišković stated that the city has secured the necessary funding, noting that part of the budget consists of EU funds coordinated with the relevant Ministry and SAFU. The project aims to significantly increase local capacity, with the new facility expected to accommodate approximately 300 children. Once finished, the city plans to consolidate services into two main facilities, creating a total capacity for over 500 children.

This new contract follows the termination of a previous agreement with a former contractor who faced financial difficulties that halted progress. Construction is scheduled to resume within a few days.
