Popsophia festival returns to Pesaro with theme of contrasts
The Popsophia festival of pop philosophy has launched its autumn edition in Pesaro, Italy, running through November 7. This year’s theme, “Contrasts,” focuses on exploring polarities in contemporary existence and finding opportunities for dialogue through the relationship between opposing forces.
The program includes various meetings, musical performances, and reflections held at venues such as the Centro Arti Visive Pescheria, Palazzo Gradari, and the Auditorium Scavolini. Key musical tributes include “Like a Rolling Stone,” centered on Bob Dylan, and “Somebody to Love,” an homage to Freddie Mercury, exploring the contrast between poetic lyricism and theatrical performance.
Local business association CNA has renewed its support for the festival, highlighting the connection between cultural reflection and economic challenges. The partnership aims to address how local small and medium-sized enterprises navigate tensions between tradition and digitalization, local identity and international markets, and experienced craftsmanship versus new generational entry.
