Porcelanosa reports US sales growth and French market recovery
At the Cersaie trade fair in Bologna, Porcelanosa Grupo CEO Silvestre Segarra reported strong sales growth in the United States, contrasting with general declines seen in Spain and Italy. This upward trend in the US is attributed to the company’s extensive proprietary distribution network and the judicial invalidation of certain tariffs previously imposed by the Trump administration. Notably, Spanish ceramic exports to the US rose by 14.6% in July compared to the same month in 2025.
Regarding the European market, Segarra noted that France has reached an inflection point, showing slight growth after several years of decline, though the sector is experiencing a drop in prices. Despite these developments, the company remains cautious due to global inflation, geopolitical uncertainty, and rising energy costs, particularly gas prices, which may impact the construction sector in Spain.
