Pordenone and Castelfranco revamp weekly markets

In Pordenone, the municipal market that operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays will return to its historic location on Viale Cossetti and Piazza dei Domenicani on Saturday 25 July 2026. The move follows completion of urban works that temporarily displaced stalls to Viale Trieste, Piazza Pescheria and Via Roma. The renovation included new sidewalks, removal of architectural barriers and resurfacing of the road, restoring the market’s traditional layout.

Meanwhile, the town of Castelfranco di Sotto has reorganised its weekly market in Piazza XX Settembre. The new arrangement, devised by the mayor’s administration after consulting vendors, creates a more rational layout of marked stalls. Over 100 merchants now sell a mix of non‑food goods, food items, agricultural products and specialty items such as plants and flowers, aiming to improve the square’s accessibility and the market’s reputation in the Valdarno region.
