Pordenone inaugurates Officina dello Sport at historic ex Battirame site

The historic ex Battirame building in Pordenone has been officially inaugurated as the ‘Officina dello Sport’, a new hub for sports and community activities located near the San Carlo lake. The restoration project, valued at approximately 2.5 million euros and supported by PNRR and Pinqua funds, transforms the five-century-old structure from a former manufacturing site into a public recreational space.

Managed by the Canoa Club Naonis, the facility will host a variety of activities including canoeing, SUP, yoga, gymnastics, fitness, and cross-country running. The center is designed to serve diverse age groups, including youth, families, and the elderly, while also acting as a support point for runners and cycle tourists. The project aims to reintegrate the area into the city by converting a space previously perceived as degraded into a shared social and athletic landmark.
