Pordenone to host silent film screening with live music

Pordenone will host a silent film screening of the 1928 comedy “The Patsy,” directed by King Vidor, on August 22, 2026. The event is scheduled for 21:00 at Arena Largo San Giorgio, with the Cinema Teatro Don Bosco serving as a backup location in case of bad weather.

The screening will feature a live soundtrack composed and directed by Davide Coppola, performed by Zerorchestra in collaboration with the Accademia Musicale Naonis. The film stars Marion Davies, whose performances in this era are noted for helping restore her artistic standing beyond industry stereotypes.
