Pordenone unveils digital museum portal to boost cultural tourism

The municipality of Pordenone launched a new website and social‑media strategy to promote its network of museums and cultural spaces ahead of the city’s bid to become Italy’s Capital of Culture in 2027. The portal, called Pordenone Musei, aggregates the civic museums, the Palazzo del Fumetto, the diocesan Museum of Sacred Art and other venues such as Villa Cattaneo, the Scientific Imagination centre and local galleries. It provides a single‑ticket system, up‑to‑date calendars of guided visits, workshops and events, and themed itineraries on architecture, street art and local heritage.

The platform uses generative artificial intelligence to create personalized content for different audience groups, and it is supported by dedicated Instagram and Facebook channels. Development was carried out by Jampaa and Prodigys, with input from the city’s cultural department. Officials say the initiative aims to make the museum network more accessible, increase visitor numbers and strengthen the cultural‑tourism profile of Pordenone as it prepares for the 2027 candidacy.
