Pordenonelegge 2025 festival foregrounds European peace dialogue

The 26th edition of the Pordenonelegge literary festival took place in Pordenone, Italy, with Europe and peace as its central theme. The program opened with a concert celebrating Europe and featured a series of debates on the concept of peace, emphasizing cultural diversity and dialogue.

Prominent participants included writers Dacia Maraini, Viola Ardone and Michela Marzano, as well as a discussion on Albert Einstein’s life and work. President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella addressed the audience, underscoring the importance of intercultural conversation. Michelangelo Agrusti was confirmed as chair of the festival’s board, and the event, supported by the municipality, attracted thousands of readers and authors, reinforcing the festival’s role as a platform for public debate and cultural exchange.
