Porsche Carrera GT concept sketch shows original race‑car styling

A previously unseen early sketch of the Porsche Carrera GT reveals a design far closer to a road‑legal race car than the production hyper‑car. The drawing, featured in the short film "The Intern" produced with actor Adrien Brody, shows a closed‑cup coupe with a prominent roof air‑intake, extensive aerodynamic ducts and a large rear wing – elements reminiscent of the 911 GT1.

The Carrera GT debuted as a prototype at the 2000 Paris motor show, driven by rally legend Walter Röhrl. While the final production model adopted an open body and a V10 engine for broader usability, many styling cues from the early concept, such as the front fender line and rear‑light shape, survived into the road‑going version that became an icon of Porsche engineering.
