Porsche crashes and flips on Mérida‑Cancún highway, driver injured

A driver of a Porsche bearing Campeche license plates lost control of the vehicle on the Mérida‑Cancún highway near kilometer 122 and the car rolled onto its roof. Emergency services, including Red Cross paramedics, responded to the scene and treated the driver, who sustained injuries and was taken to the General Hospital for further medical care. The National Guard’s Road Division secured the area, cleared the overturned vehicle with special equipment, and opened an investigation to determine the cause of the rollover.

Authorities are conducting inquiries to establish whether speed, road conditions, or other factors contributed to the accident, and traffic on the highway was temporarily disrupted while the crash site was cleared.
