Porsche donates 500,000 euros to charity via Formula E laps

Porsche AG has donated 500,000 euros to support children suffering from serious illnesses worldwide through its ‘Racing for Charity’ initiative. The donation was calculated based on the team’s performance during the 2025/2026 Formula E season, where the manufacturer pledged 400 euros for every lap completed by its official factory team.

Drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Nico Müller completed a total of 1,123 laps across 17 races, accumulating a base amount of 449,200 euros. Porsche rounded this figure up to reach the 500,000 euro milestone. The funds are distributed among various organizations, including Kinderherzen retten e. V., which finances cardiac operations for children in countries where such medical interventions are unavailable.

Since its launch at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023, the Racing for Charity program has raised nearly three million euros in total. Additionally, the Formula E championship contributed 25,000 euros to host-country charities via its ‘Better Futures Fund’ during the E-Prix in Berlin.
