Porsche drivers see success at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Porsche Penske Motorsport and Tyler Maxson achieved notable successes during the racing weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

In the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTP class, Kevin Estre set the fastest time during a 90-minute practice session for the Battle on the Bricks, driving the No. 6 Porsche 963. To bolster championship contender Laurin Heinrich’s chances, Porsche Penske shuffled driver lineups, pairing Heinrich with Estre in the No. 6 entry for this event.

In the Porsche Carrera Cup North America, Tyler Maxson extended his championship lead by securing his sixth win of the season. Driving for Topp Racing, Maxson took a flag-to-flag victory in a caution-free 40-minute race, finishing 1.301 seconds ahead of Janne Stiak.
