Porsche faces connectivity issues amid network shutdowns

Porsche is facing challenges regarding its digital services following the shutdown of 2G and 3G mobile networks by telecommunications providers. This transition has rendered various Porsche Connect features unusable for certain vehicles, including remote services, security services, safety services such as eCall, and remote vehicle locking/unlocking.

In Switzerland, Porsche Switzerland has confirmed the impact and is working on a solution to restore connectivity for affected models. However, the Cayenne E3 (model years 2018 to 2020) will be excluded from this upcoming fix. As a gesture of compensation, some customers have been offered refunds for the remaining term of their Porsche Connect subscriptions.

Separately, the brand's new Cayenne Turbo Electric has been highlighted for its performance capabilities. The electric model features dual permanent magnet synchronous motors producing 630 kW (844 hp), with a ‘Push-to-Pass’ function that can temporarily increase output to 850 kW. The vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds.
