Porsche reports 16% decline in global deliveries for 2026

Porsche AG reported a 16 per cent decline in global vehicle deliveries during the first nine months of 2026, with 178,532 units delivered compared to the same period in 2025. The company attributed this decline to challenging market conditions, changes in model availability, and a strategic focus on prioritizing brand value and exclusivity over high sales volumes.

Despite the overall decline, the Porsche 911 saw a 12 per cent increase in worldwide deliveries, reaching 42,217 units. Demand remains particularly strong for high-performance derivatives such as the GTS, Turbo, and GT models.

Looking toward electrification, Porsche plans to launch all-electric successors to the 718 Boxster and Cayman in 2027. To maintain the driving characteristics of mid-engine sports cars, these models will feature a battery pack positioned behind the seats rather than using a conventional skateboard-style floor arrangement. While the 718 range moves toward an electric-only future, Porsche has indicated the 911 will continue to utilize combustion engines.
