Porsche increases stake in Manthey Racing to 67%
Porsche AG has increased its stake in the German motorsport specialist Manthey Racing GmbH to 67%. This move is a central component of the company’s ‘Sportwagenschmiede 35’ strategy, which aims to strengthen its high-performance business through a newly established ‘Home of Sports Cars’ organizational structure.
The new structure integrates three core areas: ‘Performance’ (led by Manthey), ‘Exclusiveness’ (focusing on Sonderwunsch and Exclusive Manufaktur personalization services), and ‘Heritage’. Through this integration, Porsche intends to expand its offerings of limited-edition models, performance kits, and exclusive track experiences.
Manthey Racing, based near the Nürburgring, brings 30 years of GT racing expertise, including multiple victories at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and Le Mans. Since 2020, the two companies have collaborated on nine different ‘Manthey Kits’ for models such as the 911, 718, and Taycan Turbo GT. This increased ownership is intended to deepen the synergy between motorsport technology and production vehicles for both track and road use.
