Porsche teases Mission S hypercar with 8,000 RPM redline

Porsche is preparing to unveil its new Mission S supercar on October 15, 2026. The vehicle is expected to sit above the 911 model in the company's lineup and features a mid-engine configuration.

Recent teaser videos have revealed a tachometer reaching 8,000 RPM and retractable dashboard instruments. While official technical specifications remain unconfirmed, rumors suggest the car may utilize a new flat-eight boxer engine and a plug-in hybrid system. The model is positioned as a successor to iconic vehicles like the 918 Spyder, Carrera GT, and 959, potentially competing with high-performance rivals such as the Ferrari F80 and McLaren W1.

The launch of the Mission S comes as Porsche seeks to bolster performance following a significant decline in revenue, which dropped from approximately US$6 billion in 2024 to US$101 million in 2025.
