Porsche unveils Mission S concept and expands bespoke division

Porsche has introduced the Mission S concept, a mid-engine supercar that establishes the brand’s future design language under its “Sportwagenschmiede '35” strategic reorientation. The concept features a silhouette that integrates historical design cues from models such as the 911, 959, and 550 Spyder, while emphasizing a driver-centric interior that prioritizes ergonomics over large digital screens.

Michael Leiters, President of the Board of Management of Porsche AG, stated that the Mission S represents a permanent and versatile addition to the company’s lineup, positioned above the 911. The vehicle’s global debut took place at the Queens waterfront in New York.

In a separate move to improve profit margins, Porsche is increasing its focus on exclusivity through its Sonderwunsch (special requests) division. The company is currently developing 15 unique, one-off vehicles for high-end clients, with individual prices estimated to range between $2 million and $15 million.
