Port of Castellón launches €44,600 smart buoy and beacon procurement

The Port Authority of Castellón (PortCastelló) has opened a tender to acquire two 2.2‑metre elastomer buoys and two solar‑powered navigation beacons. The contract, valued at a base price of €44,600 (VAT excluded), aims to improve safety for vessel entry, exit and transit within the port.

The new equipment will incorporate Internet of Things (IoT) technology, GPS synchronization and remote monitoring through the port’s Netcom communications system. LED lighting and long‑life batteries are included, and the tender also specifies strict environmental, occupational‑risk and waste‑management requirements.
