Port Authority Split secures permit for Dalmacijavin building repurposing

The Port Authority Split has obtained a location permit for the renovation and repurposing of the former Dalmacijavin building in the Port of Split. The project follows two years of preparation, including economic and legal studies conducted in cooperation with the University of Split.

Because the building is protected by the Conservation Department of the Ministry of Culture, all redevelopment must adhere to strict conservation guidelines. Following the issuance of this permit, the next step will be an international tender for the concession of the building and its surrounding area. The estimated value of the concession is 600 million euros.

As part of the broader urban development project for Split's East Coast, the area may also accommodate two garages with 500 parking spaces, expanded passenger facilities, catering services, or even a hotel with approximately 100 rooms.
