Port Autonome de Conakry receives new leadership
The Port Autonome de Conakry (PAC) in Guinea has undergone a leadership transition to manage increasing maritime traffic. President Mamadi Doumbouya has appointed Aly Koïta as the new Director General. Koïta, formerly the Deputy Director General, is tasked with modernizing infrastructure, improving logistics, and overseeing the construction of new quays.
To address traffic volumes that reached 2030 projections as early as 2025, the port has moved toward 24/7 operations to improve flow. Additionally, Madame Dikhaby has been appointed as the President of the Board. Her role will focus on governance, operational policies, and attracting investment to enhance the port’s capacity as a regional commerce hub.
