Port Autonome de Pointe-Noire conducts anti-pollution drill

The Port Autonome de Pointe-Noire conducted a large-scale anti-pollution exercise from September 7 to 9. The drill was designed to test the reactivity of response teams and the effectiveness of equipment, including floating booms and skimmers, in the event of an accidental hydrocarbon spill.

The exercise took place across three distinct locations: the outer roadstead, the multi-purpose quay, and the fishing port. By utilizing different sites, the training forced teams to adapt to varying access points and maneuvering constraints. The equipment used in the drill was funded by the European Union and the French Development Agency (AFD).
