Port Autonome de Pointe-Noire signs partnership with Namport

The Port Autonome de Pointe-Noire (PAPN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Namibian Port Authority (Namport) to establish a strategic partnership. Signed during the Congo-Namibia Business Forum, the agreement focuses on exchanging technical expertise, sharing port management best practices, and facilitating trade to promote both ports as competitive regional hubs.

The partnership aims to link the Atlantic coasts of Congo and Namibia, facilitating smoother trade between Central and Southern Africa. The agreement was witnessed by Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs Constant Serge Bounda and Namibian Minister of International Relations and Trade Selma Ashipala-Musavyi.

In a separate diplomatic development, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner, visited the PAPN to recognize its role as a vital logistics hub. Accompanied by her Congolese counterpart, she highlighted the port's importance for regional economic integration and its function as a maritime gateway for landlocked countries in the sub-region.
