Port Chester police arrest five after machete attack at train station
A violent confrontation involving multiple individuals armed with machetes, knives, and razor blades occurred at the Metro-North Port Chester Station parking garage in the Hudson Valley. The incident, which took place around 10:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, resulted in two victims suffering severe head and facial lacerations. Both individuals were transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators believe the brawl was sparked by an earlier dispute on Westchester Avenue involving approximately nine to ten men. The situation escalated after a video of a torn shirt being set on fire was posted to social media.
Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack. Kleyster Gonzalez, 20, faces felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges. Four others—Hector Durasno-Escandon, 18, Jorge Osoy Lopez, 18, Wilmer Ledesma, 22, and an unnamed 17-year-old—have been charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police recovered six blades and a lighter during the investigation.
