Port City Colombo representatives engage with CREDAI Chennai members
CREDAI Chennai recently hosted an interaction between its members and representatives from Port City Colombo to present the multi-billion-dollar project’s development framework. The event aimed to provide real estate developers and industry professionals in Chennai with exposure to the Colombo-based project, allowing them to explore potential engagement in construction, design, and regional development.
Given the geographical proximity and established commercial ties between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, the session allowed members to assess market opportunities aligned with their business priorities.
A. R. Rahul Nadh, Member Secretary of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), attended as a guest speaker. He noted that the CMDA is undergoing a transformation, including the introduction of SPEED (Single Platform for Efficient Expedited Development), an AI-enabled online planning approval system designed to create an integrated digital ecosystem for urban and rural local bodies.
