Ontario reports multi-vehicle crash and impaired driving arrest

Two separate incidents involving vehicle-related issues were reported in Ontario. In a multi-vehicle collision southeast of Port Elgin on Sunday evening, two individuals were transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. The crash occurred on Bruce Road 40 between Blind Line and Sideroad 13 and 14, prompting a response from the Saugeen Shores Police Service, fire, and paramedics.

In Sault Ste. Marie, an 83-year-old man, Austin Duquette, was charged following reports of an erratic motorist on Queen Street East late Sunday afternoon. Police located the vehicle parked near Drake Street with the driver asleep. Duquette faces charges including operation while impaired by alcohol or drugs, dangerous operation, and failure or refusal to comply with a demand. His court appearance is scheduled for October 5.
