Port Gdańsk to build Integrated Border Control Point

Port Gdańsk is advancing plans to construct an Integrated Border Control Point (ZPKG) to streamline customs and inspection procedures. Located on a 2-hectare site near the Baltic Hub terminal, the facility will consist of a nine-story office building and a three-story hall featuring a rooftop parking lot for 230 vehicles.

The project aims to consolidate various inspection services—including the National Revenue Administration, Border Veterinary Inspection, and sanitary-epidemiological stations—into a single location. This consolidation is intended to replace the current dispersed model, improving the efficiency of handling increasing cargo volumes and supporting the Polish maritime economy.

An agreement was signed on August 6, 2026, with Transprojekt Gdański to handle design documentation, administrative permits, and multi-disciplinary authorship supervision. The documentation phase is expected to be completed by September 14, 2028, with construction slated to begin in the first quarter of 2029. While Port Gdańsk is the formal investor, the project is funded by the state budget. The total cost for construction and equipment is estimated at 163 million PLN net, with 3.5 million PLN net allocated for documentation.
