Port of Comodoro Rivadavia strengthens renewable energy logistics
The Port of Comodoro Rivadavia has strengthened its position as a logistics hub for the renewable energy industry following the arrival and unloading of wind turbine components. The Cypriot-flagged vessel Cóndor Valparaíso arrived from Zárate, Buenos Aires, to discharge three wind turbine blades at the Muelle de Ultramar.
The cargo, weighing a total of 48,700 kilograms, was transferred onto extendable trucks for land transport. The blades are destined for the Kosten Wind Farm, a project managed by the Spanish multinational Grenergy Renovables. Following the unloading and cleaning of the fiberglass structures, the components were scheduled for transport via Route 3 to their final destination.
