Port of Dublin shortlisted for ESPO Award 2026

The Dublin Port Tolka Estuary Greenway has been shortlisted for the ESPO Award 2026 under the theme ‘Dual-Use Port City Projects’. The award recognizes port managing bodies that develop infrastructure serving both primary port functions and urban community needs.

The 2.2 km Greenway project runs along the northern perimeter of Dublin Port, creating a shared space for port operations, biodiversity, heritage, and community use. It provides a safe walking and cycling link to ferry terminals while supporting the operational requirements of a port that handled over 1.7 million ferry passengers in 2025. Since its opening in September 2024, the route has seen over 380,000 visitors.

Dublin Port is one of four shortlisted projects, alongside the Port of Cork (Ireland), Port of Reykjavik (Iceland), and Port of Tarragona (Spain). The winner will be announced on November 10 at the ESPO Award Ceremony in Brussels.
