Port of Funchal hosts diverse fleet of luxury vessels and cruise ships

The Port of Funchal is experiencing a significant influx of diverse maritime traffic, showcasing the infrastructure's flexibility. On Friday, the port welcomed six different vessels, including the cruise ship Mein Schiff 6, carrying over 2,700 passengers, and the premium Silver Muse, which is on a 20-day voyage from Lisbon to Cape Town.

Other notable arrivals include the Kismet, a luxury mega-yacht owned by Shadih Khan, which is making a technical stop during a repositioning journey from Europe to the Caribbean. Additionally, the Sorlandet, a historic Norwegian four-masted sailing vessel built in 1927, is also docked in the port.

This follows a busy period earlier in the week when the port received several other cruise ships, including the Liberty of the Seas and Le Laperouse, contributing to high passenger and crew volumes in the region.
