Port of Patras discusses international expansion with Swiss Ambassador

Sonja Hürlimann, the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Greece, met with Panagiotis Anastasopoulos, Chairman and CEO of the Port of Patras Organization, during her first official visit to Western Greece.

During the meeting, the strategic development plan for the Port of Patras was presented, focusing on strengthening its international role through infrastructure modernization and sustainable innovation. Anastasopoulos highlighted the port's growing importance as a vital maritime link between Greece and Central and Western Europe.

Discussions also covered European transport and supply chain developments, emphasizing the need for initiatives that promote connectivity, green transition, and sustainable mobility. The meeting underscored the port's role in the economic and social development of Western Greece and its efforts to expand its international presence.
