A memorandum of understanding was signed by several key entities, including the Western Ligurian Sea Port System Authority, Edison, FS Logistix, Alis, and Assocostieri.

The initiative aims to test hydrogen within a real-world supply chain, integrating innovation with logistics and rail transport to enhance the competitiveness of the port and the surrounding territory. The project will focus on analyzing technological solutions to decarbonize maritime operational and supply activities.

The agreement is set to run until December 31, 2027. Following the testing and technical evaluation phases, the participating parties will assess subsequent stages for implementing the proposed design solutions.
