Port of Setúbal upgrades capacity with new Liebherr crane

The Port of Setúbal has enhanced its operational capabilities through the acquisition of a Liebherr LHM 280 mobile crane. Installed at the SAPEC Port Terminal, the new equipment features a lifting capacity of 84 tons and an operational reach of 40 meters.

This investment is part of a strategic modernization plan linked to the extension of the SAPEC Solid Bulk Terminal concession. The upgrade is intended to increase efficiency, accelerate ship turnaround times, and improve the handling of heavy loads, including containers, bulk goods, and specialized industrial cargo. By expanding its technical capacity, the port aims to increase its competitiveness and attract maritime operators with demanding logistical requirements.
