Port of Split completes 21 million euro passenger terminal project

The Port of Split has announced the completion of a major investment project involving the construction and renovation of a new international passenger terminal in the City Port. The project includes the reconstruction of existing facilities, the addition of new structures, and the landscaping of the surrounding area.

By relocating public transport facilities and the Schengen border crossing to this new site, the port gains approximately 14,000 square meters of operational space. The new terminal features a ground floor with passenger waiting areas, police and customs offices, and a technical block, while the first floor houses additional service facilities. A passible roof, known as Lungomare, is designated for public use.

The project, completed by Lavčević Inženjering dd in less than two and a half years, had a total value of nearly 21 million euros. Funding was provided by the Croatian State Budget with approximately 12 million euros, and the EU budget (NPOO) with just under 7 million euros.
