Port Royal Speedway hosts 59th running of Tuscarora 50
The 59th running of the Tuscarora 50 sprint car race is underway at Port Royal Speedway, a premier event sanctioned by the High Limit Racing Series. The competition features a multi-night schedule, including opening night, a fine-tuning session, and a Saturday finale with a winner's purse of at least $59,000.
During the opening night feature, Ryan Timms secured his second career Tuscarora 50 victory. Driving the Liebig Motorsports No. 10, the Oklahoma native moved from sixth to second place during the race. Timms took the lead following a tire failure for Chase Dietz, who had been dominating the field. The race was marked by several incidents, including spins and flips by Zach Hampton and James McFadden, before Timms coasted to victory on the final restart.
