Port Said authorities investigate death of 11-year-old student

Authorities in Port Said, Egypt, are investigating the death of Adam, an 11-year-old student known for his Quranic memorization. The student, a second-year preparatory student at Al-Asher min Ramadan School, collapsed during a physical education class after participating in the morning school assembly.

Preliminary medical reports and laboratory analyses indicate that the cause of death was a sudden cardiac arrest triggered by a drug overdose. Specifically, tests revealed the presence of a substance identified as 'afitamin' in his body, which led to a severe drop in blood circulation.

The student's family has expressed shock and is seeking answers regarding how the substance entered his system. The Public Prosecution has ordered a forensic autopsy to precisely determine the type of narcotic and the circumstances surrounding the death. Criminal investigation units are currently examining all individuals who were in contact with the student during his final hours to determine if there is any criminal suspicion.
