Port Said authorities seize expired food at major cafe

The Port Said Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade conducted large-scale inspections targeting food establishments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

In one major operation at a prominent cafe and restaurant on the Port Said Corniche, inspectors seized various food items, including cheesecake, molten cake, tea, hazelnuts, condensed milk, coffee, and avocado juice paste. Officials identified several violations, including expired products, items lacking production dates or labels, and products without supporting invoices to prove their origin. All seized items were confiscated, and legal proceedings were initiated.

In a separate campaign within the Al-Manakh district, authorities seized large quantities of expired fava beans unfit for human consumption. Additionally, six legal reports were filed against tourist bakeries for failing to produce
