Port Said Boosts Drinking‑Water Plant Efficiency and Street Infrastructure

The Canal Water authority, led by Major Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Ramadan, intensified preventive maintenance across the Port Said sector. Work included mechanical overhauls and efficiency upgrades at the Saqr unit of the Rehabilitation Station, repairs at the new Sidq station, maintenance at the newly built Baher al‑Baqr station and improvements at the Kap candidate station. The programme aims to raise operational reliability, preserve water quality and extend the lifespan of assets.

Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon inspected municipal projects in Port Said, monitoring the upgrade of Oujini Street and the installation of modern street lighting on Tariq al‑Bahr street in the East district. Officials said the works will enhance traffic flow, safety and the city’s urban appearance, with an emphasis on completing the projects within the scheduled timeline.
