Port Said Governor advances development projects and launches digital training for disabled

Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon of Egypt’s Port Said Governorate inspected the meat‑distribution outlet at Borfouad, noting low consumer turnout and a shortage of meat. He ordered the governance office to prepare an urgent, comprehensive study to identify reasons for weak demand and propose measures to boost sales and utilization of the project, which aims to provide affordable high‑quality meat.

During the same visit the governor reviewed progress on the new commercial‑crossing complex in Borfouad, reporting that over 90 % of the concrete structure is complete and urging swift finalisation and opening to support trade and investment. He also oversaw ongoing upgrades to housing blocks, sewer and water networks, road surfaces and lighting in several city districts.

In a separate initiative, Governor Abu Limon attended the launch of the "Code Without Borders" programme at the "Small Innovator" centre. The project, run by the Utilities Information Network Centre with the education directorate, offers Python‑programming courses to deaf and hard‑of‑hearing individuals, the visually impaired, and people with disabilities. The training consists of ten sessions delivered twice weekly, aiming to equip participants with digital skills for the job market and promote inclusive development.
