Port Said Governor advances healthcare and infrastructure projects

Port Said Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon is overseeing a series of initiatives to improve healthcare and infrastructure within the governorate. In a meeting with the head of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation, officials discussed enhancing medical services and increasing the capacity of health facilities to support the universal health insurance system.

Key healthcare developments include a directive to complete the accreditation process for Port Said University Hospital within one month. Additionally, the university hospital will begin operating a neonatal unit and dialysis services with a 47-bed capacity to reduce patient waiting lists. The governor also ordered the activation of 20 intensive care beds at the Chest Hospital and emphasized accelerating the accreditation of private health facilities.

Parallel to healthcare improvements, the governor is monitoring infrastructure projects, including the development of Aswan Street. This project involves asphalt paving, modern lighting, and increased green spaces. Furthermore, work is underway on sewage and rainwater drainage networks near Ibn Khaldun School to serve approximately 40 residential buildings in the Al-Amal area.
