Port Said Governor Ibrahim Abu Lemon pushes forward Borfuad upgrades and new street lighting

Governor Ibrahim Abu Lemon inspected a series of development projects in the city of Borfuad, Port Said governorate, on Sunday. He reviewed upgrades to University Street, including road resurfacing, lighting, sidewalks, and façade improvements, and oversaw work on Hamidi Street with similar infrastructure enhancements. He also inspected the low‑cost housing area, where eight residential blocks are being renovated, sewage and water networks upgraded, internal roads paved and sidewalks improved, urging the contractor to accelerate work and meet quality standards.

The governor visited Al‑Hayat Hospital’s dialysis unit, which serves about 85 patients daily, to check service quality. In a separate evening tour, he monitored the completion of a lighting project in the Sidi Khadija (B) district of the Al‑Dawahi neighbourhood, where 170 new street lamps were installed to illuminate 78 residential buildings, improving safety and the urban appearance. These initiatives are part of the governorate’s plan to raise living standards and infrastructure quality.
